MOSAIK gets it roots from a crew of friends going by the intials MLSC, which stands for the Moses Lake Skate Crew. Our first store opened in May of 2003 and now 5 years later, with a second store, it was time for a change. The MOSAIK family was born, representing skateboarding, life, art.

A Happy Birthday is in order for our youngest team rider, Alex Alaniz turned 11.  This kid has been shredding since he was 2.  Look out for this guy he's got skills and style.   Watch out.     A few of Moses Lakes finest, Ricardo, Cody and Bryan braved the 100 degree sun to get there skate on.  Ricardo landed his first backsmith down the handlebar.  Enjoy the video.

July 7, 2008 Imperial Motion 72 Hour Tour Video
This video highlights the Imperial Motion 72 Hour Tour with demos in Moses Lake and Yakima, and Go Skateboarding Day in Richland, as well as the grand opening of the new Everett Skate Plaza.  Imperial Motion is on the move and will be coming to a town near you.  Enjoy!

July 3, 2008 DID ANYBODY WONDER WHAT HAPPENED TO JUNE

June was an eventful month.  First off I skated a demo with the Fallen Flow guys for the grand opening of the new Greenlake skatepark in Seattle.  I even managed to win one of the best trick contests.  Then the next weekend I had a nice Mexico vacation.  Beautiful white sand beaches, snorkeling, and all you can eat food, I was in heaven.  This may sound all fun, but to be honest I was also there to work.  I filmed my cousins wedding.  Congrats to the newly weds.  After an 11 hour flight and one day back home it was time to start the Imperial Motion 72 Hour Tour.  After much debate it was decided that International Go Skateboarding Day was just not enough time to fit in all the skating we had planned, thus the 72 hour tour was created.  We did demos in Moses Lake, Richland, and Yakima.  The Richland demo fell on Go Skateboarding Day so this was the main event. To view some photos click HERE and scroll down to the June 23rd entry.  The skating was insane with some serious best trick contests going down.  A big thanks to everyone who came out and shared the day with us.  Click here for more tour photos.

Then the next weekend I skated another demo with IM for the grand opening of the new Everett skate plaza.  After a long morning of driving to get to Everett we finally arrived, 2 hours late I might add, and skated for the masses of demo hungry kids.  The sun was blazzin, and the tricks were hot.  Stay tuned for a the IM video featuring the 72 hour tour and the Everett demo coming soon.  Did I mention I also found time in there to run two skateshops and be a father.  Man I'm tired.

June 2, 2008 Temporary website
d

just to let you guys know this is a temporary website.  It does look better, but it is far from finished.  Someday we will have a fully operating legit website with a store.  As for now bear with us.  Its finally June and that means school will be out soon.  I hope to see everyone out skating.  I'll do my best to keep you guys updated on the happenings.  Until then peace.

May 29, 2008  We're still here.

Well to make a long story short, a lot has happened in the last 6 months.  First off, MLSC is now MOSAIK.  MOSAIK is the rad.  We have two stores.  The OG in Moses Lake and the new one in Richland, WA.  We recently celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary.  I'm sure your wondering how that happened, considering the lack of updates.  You all probably thought we were out of business.  I'll be the first to tell you its been a long, winding road, with lots of ups and downs, but we,re on the straight track now.  Full speed ahead.  Yes I know the name still says MLSC, that will change soon, as well as a new website coming soon for all you internet surfers.

December 8, 2007

Well its that time of year again, when the time seems to fly by.  Just look at how long it has been since the last update.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, and now it's almost Christmas.  I'll try to not let this happen again and do my best at recapping the last two months.

On November 3 was the 11th annual Texas Skate Jam, which all proceeds went to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation.  This year Josh Mohs and the rest of the ATM crew made its way out to the event as well as guys from the Fallen, Adio, Zoo York, Famous, and Plan B teams.  Even Ryan Sheckler and the Life Of Ryan Show were in the house.  Chris Cole, Jamie Thomas, Danny Montoya, Steve Nesser, Brian Wenning, Danny Way, P.ROD, Jeremy Rogers, Billy Marks, Brian Brown were just a handful of the many pros who come out to support this event.  Watch the video from the event HERE.  If you watch closely you will see some clips of MOHS in there.

If you haven't heard of MOSAIK Boardshop by now, that just means you haven't been down to the shop in a while.  MOSAIK is the new name of a skateshop in Richland, WA.  Josh Mohs and the MLSC crew have joined forces with Vito Luppino and the Midstate crew to bring you MOSAIK Boardshop.  If your in Richland and want to check us out you can find us at 285 Williams BLVD or give us a call at 509-943-SKATE(7528).  By the time you read this MLSC in Moses Lake will also be going by MOSAIK, with Midstate to follow shortly.  Look out cause the MOSAIK super team is on its way.  Now taking resumes for this highly talented roster.

October 20, 2007

Last night was the premiere of the All City Showdown 2 video.  The video was sick.  Jordan Sanchez got 1st place and is a $1000 richer, Mikey Burton took 2nd place and a nice $500, and David Gravette took 3rd place and a nice $200 plus an extra $100 for having the gnarliest trick in the video.  Ben Kaplan and the crew at 35th North came through with yet another great video and event.  It's truely amazing the amount of footage that can go down in a 5 hour time period.  Vito Luppino, Nich Kunz and Josh Mohs represented for Eastern Washington and all had excellent parts.  This is a must own video and will be in shops soon.

The 4th annual Ellensburg Contest is now in the history books.  Check out the events gallery for more info, photos, and video.  WATCH VIDEO

October 11, 2007  Its been a busy couple weeks!!

Man I've been so busy, I don't no how I do it.  First of all we've got photos from the Listen/5boro demo finally up.  Click here to view.  In case you haven't seen the video from the demos, now you can.  WATCH VIDEO

On Saturday, September 29 long time friend, Danny Villarreal, passed away in an attempt to save his two stepchildren from their burning home.  Danny and the two children died from smoke inhalation.  Danny was a long time friend and one of the original MLSC crew.  Danny is survived by his son Lukas Villarreal.  Danny you are a hero.  This was sad tragedy and shows us all how quick life can change.  Be thankful for what you have and live every day as if it was your last.  I love you brother.

The Almira demo was the same day as the above mentioned tragedy.  Let me tell you I had a hard time focusing at the demo.  I was constantly thinking of Danny and the memories.  The demo was good with a small turnout.  The park was small, but it's better then nothing.  Thanks to the city of Almira for inviting us out.

September 28, 2007 MLSC demo tomorrow.
Yesterday, was my youngest boys birthday.  Jackson turned the big number 2.  I think he has to be the smartest 2 year old I've ever met.  Tomorrow we will be doing a demo for the Grand Opening of the new Almira, WA skatepark.  The city recently received a grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation and put the money to good use.  We hope?  I'm not sure what the park looks like, but I know I'll have fun.

September 25, 2007  Ellensburg Contest
The 4th annual Ellensburg Contest has been set for October 6th.  The Contest will begin at 11am sharp, so be there early and get signed up.  There is a $15 dollar entry fee which will include a custom Manik/contest flyer tee.  Be there early if you want to get your practice runs in.  Manik and Dirty Bearings, as well as the Midstate and MLSC teams will be demoing for the masses.

September 24, 2007 Listen demo video/MLSC demo in Almira, WA

The Listen and 5boro demo was a huge success.  A big thanks to everyone who showed up and an even bigger thanks to the teams for coming out.  The Northwest turned out to be the best part of their trip.  Huge crowds and hungry autograph seekers.  Pro sightings are a rarity out here.  Check out the video from the Yakima and Moses Lake demos here.  Photos from the event will be up shortly.

This weekend on Saturday the 29th, MLSC will be doing a demo for the small town of Almira.  The town recently received a grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation for a new skate park.  This weekend will be the official opening and we will be there to start it off right.  The event is scheduled to start at 3:00.

September 15, 2007  Listen and 5boro demos!!!!!
The Listen and 5boro teams are currently on a west coast tour.  They will be at Midstate on Wednesday the 19th, Spirit on Thursday the 20th, and MLSC on Friday the 21st.  Danny Montoya, Rob Gonzalez, Brian Brown, Rodrigo Peterson, Nathan Fantasia, Danny Falla, Dan Pensyl, Joey Tookmanian, and Robert Lim should all be there.  All Listen and 5boro decks are on sale this week.  $45 with a sheet of grip.  Get one so you can do some autograph collecting.

September 4, 2007  All City Showdown goes down.
The 2nd annual "All City Showdown" in Seattle, WA has officially gone down.  The tapes have been filled and turned in.  Only time will tell who will be this years winner.  Josh Mohs, Vito Luppino, and Nich Kunz represented Eastern Washington in the contest and shredded some of Seattle's finest spots.  The contest works as follows; 1 skater and 1 filmer, skate the city for 5 hours and film it all.  Best footage wins.  Other metionable skaters involved were; David Gravette, Mikey Burton, Jordan Sanchez, and Ryan Stangland to name a few.  I can't wait to see this video come together.  Its' gonna be THE RAD.  You can check out last years video HERE.

August 29, 2007  Alex Alaniz takes 1st at Newport Contest

MLSC Skateshop was recently invited to attend and help out with the Newport, WA contest put on by OKB Fest.  The event included concerts, a skate contest, and a motorcyle demo by the High Ridaz.  It was pretty insane watching those guys do stunts on there bikes.  Alex Alaniz, Dakota Davis, Todd Erickson, Ricardo Marroquin, Andre "Jimmy" Moore, Zach Swanson and myself(Josh Mohs) all made it to the event.  Everyone skated in the contest except Todd who judged and myself who MC'd the event.  This was my first experience behind the mic and let me tell you I was nervous.  Once the event got going it was smooth sailing, and I ended up having alot of fun emceeing.  Incase you didn't notice above Alex got first place in the beginner division.  He didn't do so well in his first run, but put it together in his second run.  Alex earned himself a cool $50 bucks.  View more pics HERE.

July 25, 2007  Order Imperial Motion gear now!!!

The Imperial One Crazy Summer Tour will be happening this weekend.  Josh Mohs, Adam Crew, Ryan Stangland to name a few will be skating for all the youngins in Oak Harbor and Port Townsend.  Check the flyer for more details.  If you don't already know, Manik Skateboards is the best thing to come out of the Northwest since Josh Mohs, just kidding, but really check out this video.  The Manik team kills it.

June 30, 2007  Midstate 2 year anniversary/ Manik Demo
Midstate Skate Shop out of Yakima, WA celebrated its 2 year anniversary with Manik Demos at the Selah skatepark and the Yakima skatepark.  Ceck out these videos from the event. video1 video2 video3  Keep your eyes open because there are some Mohs gems hidden in these videos.  Josh Anderson, Mikey Burton, John Erickson, Nich Kunz, Vito Luppino, and more killed it.  It was definetly a blast and I love getting together with all the homies.  You can view some photos from the demo here.  After the demos it was camping time up by Mt. Rainer.  There is nothing better then some refreshing mountain air.  I love camping.  I can't wait for next year.  Thanks to Vito at Midstate, the Midstate crew, the Manik Crew, and everyone who was there.

June 22, 2007 Go Skateboarding Day came and went just like that.
Yesterday, June 21 was international Go Skateboarding Day and I celebrated by driving to Spokane, WA to skate in a Spirit Demo.  The demo was for the grand opening of the new Fairfield, WA skatepark.  This town has about 600 people living there, so I can only imagine what goes on around there.  Needless to say the kids have some where to skate, because I drove around the town and I didn't see one skateable spot.  The whole Spirit crew was in attendance.  Ray Kimbrough, Nich Kunz, Bobby Dodd, Gibson Miller, Ben Carden, Ruben Villarreal, Chris Malsam, Myself(MOHS) as well as the rest of the Spokane skate scene shredded the park for a handful of locals.

May 11, 2007  MANIK DEMO in Moses Lake, OH YEAH!
Manik Demo Saturday, May 26 to celebrate MLSC 4 years in the making.  Mikey Burton, Josh Jones, Ethan Fitzpatrick, Josh Anderson and Jordan Sanchez will be shredding the park and entertaining the masses.  The game of SKATE will start at 12, and there is a $5 dollar entry fee.  There will be a little man(12-under), teen man(intermediate) and man(advanced) division.  Prize to the top winners in each division.  The spring clean out sale has begun.  Stop in and ask about all the great deals.
April 27, 2007  Working the bugs out.
If any of you noticed we were having some techincal issues with the website.  I think I've got it figured out.  If you find a problem contact us to let us know whats happening.  The Apples and Oranges video premiere went off as expected.  Bobby Dodd had an amazing part.  Ben Carden, Nich Kunz, Peng Xiong and Ray Kimbrough held it down tuff for Spirit and Spokane.  This video featured some riders from the west coast coming out of the Portland and Seattle areas.  If you see this video you'll also find a few tricks of Josh Mohs skating some classic Moses Lake spots.  Over all the video was good, although a little long.  Charlie Wray is the man behind the video.  Check out his other work here.
April 18, 2007  Weekend on the Westside.
Last weekend Alex Alaniz and Josh Mohs went to a contest at the Skatebarn in Renton.  Alex had a blast and skated the park as best as he could.  Josh entered the contest and pretty much sucked.  But when it came to the best trick contest MOHS showed the kids whats up.  Nollie flip crooks down the hubba, nollie flip back 5-0 down the hubba, 360 flip noseslide down the hubba all done within 5 minutes.  He also layed down a backtail backside flip out on the quarter pipe.  For anyone that doesn't know about the Skatebarn I suggest you check it out.  The place is insane.  On Saturday, Mohs found him self wearing the fall 2007 line from Imperial Motion.  Imperial Motion put together a photo shoot for thier fall catolog.  The clothes were sick and I can't wait to get me some.  On Sunday, the weather in Seattle was beautiful which made for some good skating.  We hooked up with Seattle homies John Erickson, Ben Kaplan, Marshall Reid, Mikey Burton and Terrell Simecki.  Everyone was skating good.  Don't forget about the new Spirit video Apples and Oranges premiering this Thursday night.  Check the flyer below for details.

April 6, 2007  New Spirit video coming soon!

Apples and Oranges world premiere is scheduled for April 19.  The video is a collaboration of skaters from throughout the Northwest with a heavy presence of Spirit riders.  If you watch closely you just might see some MOHS footy.  Check the flyer for all the info.

March 27, 2007  Check out some old videos to the right

The weather is getting warmer and for the older guys this means more skating considering our joints freeze up in the winter.  New DC shoes, hoodies, hats and tee's.  Spring cleanout sale coming soon.  Check back for sale details.

October 11, 2006

The Ellensburg contest was last Saturday and the event was a big success.  The Manik and Dirty Bearings teams killed the park.  It was definetly some of the best skating I've ever seen go down at that park.  Moses Lake ripper Cory Dahl took first place in the beginner division.  This kid shreds the tranny and is on his way to a spot on the team.  Keep it up kid.  I'm going to work on getting some photos posted.  Until then, peace.

September 25, 2006  Seahawks beat NY Giants 42-30

Yesterday, the Seahawks beat the NY Giants 42 to 30.  You may be wondering what does this have to do with MLSC Skateshop?  It has everything to do with me.  I went to the game and it was amazing.  There is nothing like going to a live event.  The energy from the crowd was insane.

September 22, 2006  Grand Coulee Demo tomorrow

Tomorrow Team MLSC will make the hour and half drive up to Grand Coulee Damn to celebrate the opening of a brand new skatepark in Washington.  The ribbon ceremonies begin at 11am with demo to follow shortly after.  Josh Mohs, Cody Wurzer, Bryan Moncada, Todd Erickson, Feef Moncada, Dakota Davis, Brent Burress, Steven Otto, and Ricardo Marroquin are all making the trip.  It's no Grindline or Dreamland skatepark, but for a small town it's better than nothing.

September 20, 2006

The mysterious Steven Otto is finally back in the ML.  After a year and half of being missing in Yakima, not skating for that matter, the kid is back and shredding again.  It's about time someone in the ML was hyped to go filming.  Cody and Steven getting some at the local park.

September 18, 2006

Congratulations to Bryan Moncada 4th place and Cody Wurzer 7th place at the Spokane Contest this past weekend.  The Contest was a big success and everyone had a good time.  We look forward to doing it again next year.

September 1, 2006  Splash premiere goes off with a bang

The Splash premiere went down last night in Seattle.  I must say the video was sick.  Everyone came through with great parts and I mean everyone.  It's a must see video.  Reserve your copy today.  The All City Showdown video also premiered and it was really amazing to see so much good footage go down in such a short amount of time. Here are the results:  Mikey Burton 1st, Jordan Sanchez 2nd, Mike Barker 3rd, and Ryan Stangland 4th.  Big ups to Ben Kaplan for getting the video put together in such a short amount of time.  Rumor has it he was up for 32 hours straight just to get it done before the premiere started.

  The Moses Lake Skate Crew

was started by a group of local skateboarders dating as far back as 1996.  Over the years the MLSC has grown to great numbers reaching somewhere in the thousands.  MLSC Skateshop was established in May of 2003 to support the local scene and to provide future members with a safe place to watch all the newest skate videos, keeping them up to date with
