| MOSES LAKE CONTEST MAY 23, 2009 This was the first skateboard contest co-sponsored by the Moses Lake Parks and Rec. and MOSAIK Boardshop. The event featured beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions, with each skater getting 2 one minute runs and their best run counts. Skaters from Sandpoint, Spokane, Tri Cities, Ellensburg, Ephrata, Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene, Yakima and Moses Lake showed up to compete. In the beginner division local skater Justin Newton took 1st place, Justus from Ellensburg took 2nd, and Armando Rojas of Moses Lake rounded out the group with 3rd place. In the intermediate division 13 year old Julian Drain of Richland took 1st, local rippers Alex Alvarez and Cory Dahl took 2nd and 3rd place respectivly. In the advanced division 16 year old Cory McCowan of Richland, WA took 1st place with some never been done tricks and some serious ramp destruction, Justin Thompson of Yakima came in 2nd, and Brandon Hanky of Spokane put down a solid line for 3rd place.
